POSITION PROFILE: SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

The Senior Consultant will have an opportunity to work on a wide range of files and client assignments, supporting a platinum list of high profile clients.
Reporting to the Principal and Founder, this role requires a depth and breadth of experience in strategic communications. If you are the ideal candidate, you have a strong analytical and strategic mind, and are able to synthesize complex material quickly, develop creative client solutions, and consistently deliver exceptionally high quality written products.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop communications and marketing strategies, including the research/analysis and consultative phases, strategic approach, key messages, tactical recommendations and evaluation framework
- Manage and write client assignments such as strategies, Action Plans, reports as well as communications products and collaterals
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis and provided meaningful synthesis
- Provide strategic advice to clients in the form of participation in key meetings, preparing reports, recommendations, analyses and Action Plans
- Contribute to workshop and facilitation design processes, including setting objectives, analyzing issues and recommending strategies/tactics
- Manage client relationships effectively, providing the highest quality client service and project management
- Develop and manage all corporate project plans end-to end including managing resources to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met to the firm's quality standards
- Support business development efforts including research on opportunities/competitive landscape, writing proposals and contributing to prospect presentations
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- A University degree in communications and/or marketing or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a communications/marketing/PR function
- Track record in developing sound, results-oriented communications and/or marketing strategies
- Professional writing skills, able to produce a wide range of high quality, sophisticated products on an array of subject matters
- Articulate, with excellent verbal communications skills
- A strategic thinker, able to understand complex issues, clarify objectives, situational analyses and key performance indicators, and propose innovative solutions for clients
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and judgment, comfortable working with very senior clients
- Entrepreneurial self-starter capable of both working effectively independently and contributing positively to a team environment
- Superb client service abilities with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Superior project management skills, able to manage several projects at once, working efficiently and effectively under deadline
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of constant change, requiring flexibility and adaptability in order to consistently meet and exceed client expectations
- Proficiency in English and French would be an asset
